Ghosts of Bhopal

More than 20 years after the disastrous accident at Union Carbide in Bhopal, India that instantly killed over 7,000 people, residents continue to suffer from health problems caused by exposure to the hazardous chemicals once produced at the plant. Today, the death toll has risen to over 20,000. This slideshow explores the ruins of the chemical plant, as well as some of the work being done here to ease residents' medical trauma.
